Vowels and Consonants

 The sounds that we make with our voices are like a piece of music.

 If we take a single word, for example “really”, we can express it in many ways. Record yourself on your phone and play with the sound of the word to give it the following meanings:

 1 surprise

2 exasperation

3 questioning 

4 humour

Take particular notice of the different music being used and compare the tone of your voice with the section on the vocal qualities in the exercises and examples.
